his listing is for a vintage "The Buescher" alto saxophone. It is the model commonly known as a "True Tone". The serial number is 206,xxx, which indicates a c.1926 production date. That also makes it 'series III' version of this model. The third series has keywork improvements including a floating octave key, front F button, and half moon/roller G# key. There were also a few different necks by this time, this one having a #1 marked neck. This horn is stamped "LOW PITCH", indicating the desired tuning for contemporary usage.
This horn is in excellent playing condition. It has been fully re-padded relatively recently. The pads are in excellent condition. They are very clean, and all are sealing properly. It plays great from high F on down to low Bb, as you can hear in the video link below of this actual instrument.
    See the product in action.
This sax is also in very good physical condition. The body is straight, and the neck has not been pulled down or otherwise damaged. There are a couple tiny pings/nicks, but no significant dents or dings. I only see one resoldered key guard foot, but it is barely noticeable. The keys are all operating smoothly, and the rollers are all turning freely. All of the original snap on resonators are present, which is quite rare! The silver plate finish is almost fully intact, albeit tarnished.
This sax comes in a nice modern Protec brand case. It is a light weight rigid shell case with a canvas exterior. It has large exterior pockets for carrying lots of accessories. A neck bag is also included, for stowing the neck in the bell of the instrument. The case is in very good condition. It is clean and odor-free inside.
There is no mouthpiece, nor any other accessories included with this sax.
Please feel free to email me with any questions.
    Thanks again for looking!
    Note to international buyers:
Due to the current global pandemic, international shipments via USPS mail are experiencing significant delays. This is due to lack of available transportation (ie. mail is normally carried overseas as cargo on commercial passenger flights, however the flight schedules have been slashed). European buyers have experienced wait times of up to 2 months for shipments to arrive. If this potential wait presents a problem for you, please refrain from purchasing at this time. I sincerely apologize for this, unfortunately unavoidable, inconvenience.
